After breakfast we drove over to the Camping 3 Estrellas campsite not far from the Etap, on the coast about 12km west of Barcelona, which seemed like a good spot to stay, being on a regular bus route into the city. After the shock of the 26.6€ per night charge for us and our “camper” we found a nice shady spot under some trees, away from the majority of people who favoured the beach front location (too hot for us). Anne sought out the washing facilities and we filled a load, which quickly dried in the hot sun, hung on our makeshift washing line. It’s annoying when mundane life stuff gets in the way of exploring, but it has to be done (looking forward to being reunited with the washing machine though). SPOT
We decided to conserve our energy and wait until tomorrow to venture into Barcelona, so had another peaceful day pottering about the campsite and paddling in the sea before a couple of beers, some food and bed.
