The whole complex looked like it had seen better days, but to be fair the rather basic shower block was clean, if somewhat decrepit, and we were made to feel welcome (although there was a bit of confusion as to why we were going to India via Mallorca). Thunder was heard in the distance as we setup the tent, but we only suffered a short shower before the sun reappeared to light dinner preparations. The cat population took great interest in our salmon salad but we managed to fend them off before retiring early to recharge after surviving the week with Anne’s family (which was a complete pleasure for all, obviously!).

Friday 2nd October
Checkout day so we rushed about trying to get everything back in the Land Rover - arrangement was a little better than before, but we’re still going to drop off a couple of cases at Bob’s on the way back through France (and pick up the washing machine). The main task for the day was to see if either of our two camping options actually existed - Camping Club Can Picaford on Badia d’Alcúdia or Hipocampo near Calas de Mallorca - that would be a no to the first and a somewhat cautious yes to the second. Hipocampo existed, but we were the only guests, parked up between the guard dog kennels and the remains of a volley ball court as they weren’t really geared up for vehicles. SPOT
