I picked up my favourite new town read - the Coles Supersaver pamphlet. It lists all their offers for the week so that we can decide what food we’re going to eat for the coming days. There’s nothing like having a full larder again as we’d run out of some of the basics (biscuits, chocolate, beer ...).
It was good to get the washing on (although rather a lot of pre-treatment was required to ensure all the dust came out), and we treated ourselves to a relax around the campsite for most of the morning.
It was hot and sunny again today so there were no worries about the washing drying, but it did slow our walking pace when we went into town in the afternoon. We did a bit of tourist shopping and succumbed to a piece of Aboriginal art that we both liked from one of the galleries in town (apparently we’ll be breaking copyright if we put a picture of it on the blog though, so a description will have to do - it’s black and white and has lines and dots).
The evening was mostly spent updating the blog and we did start calling parents but were kicked off the wireless network as we’d exceeded our daily download limit, despite the fact we were uploading (mainly photos). It’ll probably be a week or so before we can call them again as we’re heading off to Purnululu National Park tomorrow (which contains the Bungle Bungle Range) and therefore won’t have internet access - sorry parents.
