Wednesday 3rd February - Venice to Selestat

We docked in Venice as dawn was breaking, but we only got to see the causeway linking Venice with the mainland; we’ll have to return another time.

It was fairly boring driving along the motorways through Italy, Switzerland and into France, although the Swiss scenery was pretty spectacular when we weren’t in a tunnel (the longest we passed through was 17km). 

We’re now half way through our mainland European leg, so all being well we’ll be back in the UK tomorrow evening.
